ADIDAS has unveiled another cool capsule collaboration for men with Tokyo-based brand Neighborhood.
Adidas Originals by Neighborhood is a new collection of footwear and ready-to-wear apparel for Fall/Winter 2014, mixing casual and contemporary styles and blending Neighborhood’s own aesthetic crafted under designer Shinsuke Takizawa with the spirit of Adidas.

The designer explained the 1980s hip-hop origins of his first Adidas obsession: “Sneakers became a fashion item. It was all quite shocking!”.
It was an unconsummated love affair until 2005, when Takizawa teamed up with Adidas for a new version of the Superstars shoe, which has led to a series of further collaborations.

“Creating a design that does not already exist was the original concept when we first worked together,” explains Shinsuke. “And still today, that same concept is at the core of our collaboration.”
Other Adidas Originals projects include link-ups with Brazilian brand Farm, skateboard company Palace, and singers Rita Ora and Pharrell Williams.
The adidas Originals by NEIGHBORHOOD Fall/Winter 2014 collection will soon be available at select adidas Originals stockists in limited quantities.
