Louis Vuitton launched their first smartwatch, the Tambour Horizon, two years ago. The timepiece was met with success and the time has come for it to be updated. This second iteration maintains the jet-setting personality with the GMT function, comprising the 24-hour scale on the dial flange and a corresponding indicator on the screen. The watch comes in different aesthetic interpretations: Monograph Eclipse (42 mm, stainless steel), Matte Black (42 mm, stainless steel with black PVD treatment), Monogram Brown (42 mm, stainless steel with brown PVD treatment), and, Pure White (42.9 mm, white ceramic).
One function in particular, My Travel, compiles all of your travel details in one place. It is most convenient to have all your hotel bookings, flights and trains, as well as departure and arrival times in one location. Also built-in is the Louis Vuitton City Guide, packed with accommodation, dining and attraction tips for 30 major cities of the world at your fingertip.
Empowered by Wear OS by Google, the new Tambour Horizon benefits from the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 CPU that is faster and more energy-efficient. Its flash memory offers 8 GB of storage, and the AMOLED touchscreen display measures 1.2 inches. Certainly, there are a multitude of dials to choose from: Monogram, Damier, Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s signature V, you name it. In fact, you can even choose to have your initials on the dial or to download new runway-linked dials which will be made available in the future. Adding to the fun is the ability to mix and match with leather or rubber strap in various colours and patterns.
