Roberto Cavalli designed gold-themed Life Ball Mini 2013 was sold for a record €150,000 ($194,000) at the AIDS Solidarity gala in Vienna, Austria.

The special Paceman is distinguished by an iridescent paint, Cavalli logo on the roof and signature on the door, gold-painted roof and alloys, together with gold-finished grill frame, mirror cases, headlight and taillight surrounds.

Inside there are gilded elements, Cavalli’s logo on the headrests and sun visors, along with animal prints on the steering wheel and instruments.

Since the beginning of the partnership in 2001, thirteen unique Mini models have been created by fashion designers, with auction proceeds of more than half a million euros being donated to projects dedicated to the battle against AIDS.

Besides Roberto Cavalli, past Mini Life Ball partners included Dean and Dan Caten of DSQUARED2, Franca Sozzani, Renzo Rosso for Diesel and Donatella Versace.
