Artist Alexa Meade creates painted installations by painting on her subjects. Literally. She paints on surfaces of the human body, architectural spaces and found objects with a technique that compresses 3-dimensional spaces to 2-dimensional planes when photographed. The result is a fascinating mix of portraits and spaces that blur the lines between painting and reality.
