Famed American fashion photographer Steven Meisel has shot this year’s edition of the PIRELLI CALENDAR, revealed Tuesday in Milan.
Titled ‘Calendar Girls 2015’, this latest edition of the Italian brand’s annual supermodel-studded fashion calendar is themed around the idea of classic pin-ups with a modern twist.
“Sometimes to show a bit of fashion is even more sexy than to be totally naked,” explained the calendar’s stylist, Carine Roitfeld.
The “Americans” include rising star Gigi Hadid, plus-size model Candice Huffine, Carolyn Murphy and Cameron Russell. The Brazilians represented are Isabeli Fontana, Adriana Lima and Raquel Zimmermann. English model Karen Elson appears as well as Puerto Rican Joan Small, Natalia Vodianova and Sasha Luss from Russia, and Anna Ewers from Germany.
Previous editions have been shot by Karl Lagerfeld, Terry Richardson, Mario Sorrenti and Steve McCurry.
